About the event

The SHOUT Circular Economy Workshop convened a diverse group of practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to explore practical pathways for integrating circular economy principles into the built environment.
Through presentations and collaborative discussions, participants examined opportunities to reduce material waste, promote sustainable construction systems, and rethink how buildings and urban spaces are designed and maintained. The workshop created space for cross-sector dialogue on how circularity can support climate-resilient cities and more sustainable construction practices across Africa.
The event was convened as part of ongoing conversations on innovation and sustainability in the construction sector, encouraging participants to share experiences, insights, and emerging ideas.
